The Nutcracker

I'll be traveling to St. Louis Missouri for the filming of "The Nutcracker". I'll be also shooting some footage while I'm there for the release of another promo. I'll be away from my computer the entire week that I'm gone. Bethany Ufema will be handling things while I'm away including filming an entire Performance on her own. After she pulls this off she will officially be a part of the team.

Winter Recitals

This is a freeze frame for the soon to be released promo that I'm putting together for the Forest Dance Academy for their performance that is taking place the second weekend in December. The surface that the kid is standing on is an actual picture of ice. Using real textures really helps pull the audience in. It adds a sense of realism to all motion graphics. I heavily encourage for all artists to use textures as often as possible.

FIRST OF ITS KIND

The folks at Pearson's Appraisal Service are continually developing a really cool product that I'm not allowed to disclose but it will indeed provide an amazing work flow and redefine the way appraising is done (especially for people trying to save money). Early on, Pearson's Appraisal was an accomplished business with an excess of 2 million appraisals in 30 years. With over 50 full time appraisers and a support staff that dedicates its time in redefining methodology and proprietary solutions they have come up with a prototype that will provide a whole now outlook on appraising. That's where Ufema Productions comes in. I'll have a bit more to say in the near future so be sure visit again.

Back to Basics

Lifestyle Fitness Center is a fitness center designed to "educate, equip, and inspire clients to achieve their optimal level of health and fitness." In order for LFC to do just that, the company has teamed up with Gray Cook from Functional Movement Solutions. Together, they are reinforcing the importance of not only fitness but movement as well through the Functional Movement Screen (FMS).
The FMS is a "ranking and grading system created to document movement patterns that are key to normal function."* It teaches your how to better build your core by bringing you back to the basics of movement.
Unfortunately, Ufema Productions can not launch the video just yet...therefore, you will have to test your ability to persevere until the full length video is posted on Lifestyle Fitness Center's website. Above is a still shot of what is to come. Notice how the "industrial" effects give the overall picture a feeling of strength and durability - two great attributes to physical fitness.

Ufema Productions & VSA Pair Up!

Even though it is not spring time anymore, Ufema Productions is going to help the Virginia School of the Arts do some "spring cleaning". VSA is noticing how fast the media and social network sites have smitten our society, and they have asked us, Ufema Productions, to help them in this area.

Ufema Productions will be responsible for bringing VSA up to speed on communication with teenagers, parents, dance enthusiasts, and many others though the filming of High-Definition promotions, video networking, and more!

VSA Graduation Lobby Promo

This is a graduation lobby promo for the Virginia School of the Arts graduation ceremony from this past spring. Each piece reflects the dancers' style as they were given the opportunity to choreograph and perform their own piece. It was a great experience to film the dancers as they move on to the next phase in life...

United Methodist Church

Here is a motion graphic from the video for the ongoing campaign with United Methodist Church and Camp Overlook. This great journey included 15 sporadic overnight hotel stays; 33 intensive interviews; and non-stop editing.

This is a static shot; however, the video includes the use of natural elements - something I always do. Natural elements make things appear more real and alive. The only things that are not natural are UMC's cross emblem and the scripture verse. Textures were used to give the scripture verse more character, making it stand out apart from the background, and thus, adding to the overall structure of the video.

Attention all Wedding Planners

Incoming! This just in...ALL wedding packages will now receive their wedding DVD in an organic Loktah case.

Just to let you know a little bit more about it:

Loktah's essential element is the organic paper, a renewable source in the foothills of the Himalayas.

This organic product is dipped in bee’s wax to preserve the quality of the paper yet allow the product to age with natural beauty.

Soft twine encircles the product with an organic bead completing the look. Created by hand, each case is slightly unique.

State of Innovation Summit Trailer

The following project for The State of Innovation Summit was one of Ufema Productions' first extensive full high definition projects. This was 10 hours of straight high definition recording, which was also being shot over the web as a live feed. There were many hours involved in making this trailer and video set a success. Thanks to the crew and everyone involved - the trailer is now complete and looks great.

So now, without further delay; what you all have all been waiting for.... the trailer for The State of Innovation Summit:

The link is yet to be established.

The State of Innovation Summit

July is a very busy month for Ufema Productions as there are multiple projects that Paul is tediously working on. To get you in the know on some of the more major projects...there is the ongoing capital campaign for United Methodist Church; a promotional campaign for a company out of New York for the State of Innovation Summit; and a couple of weddings and other special events.

Below is just a little freeze frame to wet your appetite as Paul wraps up the video campaign for The State of Innovation Summit:

Also, allow me to give you a little background on this campaign and what it is all about...
"The State of Innovation is a comprehensive program examining the relationship between science, technology & business and how their convergence can spark a new climate of innovation in America." This campaign was launched by a recent partnership between two innovative organizations, The Council on Competitiveness and Seed.

The video will be launched from the company's website towards the end of July. I will keep you updated on the official posting. I hope this will hold you over 'till then...Enjoy!

introducing...Hannah

HELLO!  Some of you might be wondering who I am, and why I get the special privileges of hoarding an entire blog of Ufema Productions, so let me tell you a little bit about myself, and why I am here...
First things first - we need to get to know each other on a first name basis (or alias - whichever works best)....my name is Hannah. Even though my parentals gave me that name at birth, others still insist on calling me Hannah Banana, Hannah Montana, nanners, heifer (don't ask), and several others we won't even mention. I grew up in the beautiful state of West Virginia, and now live in Virginia. I just graduated with a degree in Business Marketing, and hope to utilize that degree to eventually accomplish my life goal of opening my own coffee shoppe.
In the mean time, I am currently working two jobs, a local coffee shoppe, and now Ufema Productions. I will be helping Ufema Productions to stay connected with awesome people like you. Enabling you to stay "in the know" about projects, findings, trailers, and any other important updates with Ufema Productions. I look forward to this great adventure & future posts ahead!

Forest Dance Academy

Things never seem to come to a halt here at Ufema Productions.  We continue to work on amazing things.  The Forest Dance Academy just needs a few more finishing touches before I hand them over for final approval.   This was a tricky shoot because we needed to film the event with two cameras on opposite sides of the room.  As you can see by these to two solos, it worked out really great.  Enjoy.

Camp Overlook

I'm very excited to share the opening graphic for a huge project I'm doing for Camp Overlook and the United Methodist Church.  From the start the board has been a pleasure to work with.  It's taken a month to line up all the interviews and such, which, without Carl Manfield would have never been successfully organized.  I'll post updates as I have time.  Enjoy the five second title-open.

Hey whats up!  Here is the still shot of our exciting new promo that is being edited right now for Keystone Learning HD.  A final promo will be on later next week.  This coming month is going to be packed with a lot of amazing corporate videos that I've been given free reign to do as I please.

Virginia School of the Arts

Today is another day of editing and we have been working through the weekend to wrap up some deadlines.  One of the things we completed was a promo for VSA.  Multiple people contributed ideas and solutions for its launch.  Enjoy.

Run For Their Lives Snap Shot

Here is a video snap shot of the new promo that I'm working on for a huge half marathon event.  I'm still working on different color schemes, not even knowing exactly what direction I'm going, but I have a feeling that this two minute promo will be one of my best.

For now I have to go back to wrapping up some weddings, but I wanted to share the excitement of what's coming.

The Truth

You know those moments in life with your kids, when you know who's telling the truth but you can't prove it. Well this is one of those situations. Instead of scratching my head and doing nothing about it, I made a video of the event. Enjoy.
